Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish is looking for his team to continue their steady improvement on Sunday at Milton Keynes Thunder in the ENIHL Cup.
Invicta defeated a below-strength Thunder side 5-2 on the opening day of the season - but Parrish is confident that despite their hosts boasting a now full line-up his side can pick up another win.
"We can definitely go there and get a victory," Parrish said. "We are starting to gel as a team, and our re-jigged lines can only get better.
"Milton Keynes will certainly be stronger now they have a full line-up.
"Their imports (Slovaks Kristian Simo and Michal Lauko) should be icing on Sunday and their big rink always takes a few minutes to get used to, so it will be a challenge. However, we’ve improved too since we last played them."
One such improvement has been the performance of netminder Glen Jackson.
The youngster turned away 44 shots during Sunday’s victory over Bracknell, and Parrish admits the goalie is playing beyond all expectations.
"Jackson has played beyond his means so far," he said.
"I’m in two minds as to who will start on Sunday. "Michael Gray has definitely got a battle on his hands if he wants to keep the number one spot, but it’s great that we have two netminders that can be relied upon."
Jamie Dancey (knee) and Anthony Lennon (groin) are slight doubts for Sunday.
