Parrish's men ready for Rage

Invicta Dynamos v Cardiff Rage

CARDIFF RAGE visit Gillingham Ice Bowl on Sunday as Invicta Dynamos look to enhance their position in the Southern League play-offs.

Sunday’s 11-2 thrashing of Oxford put the Mos on top of the four-team group after the opening round of matches.

Player-coach Kevin Parrish sees Cardiff as the only team standing in their way of a top place finish and a crack at the top Northern side.

He said: "We need to beat Cardiff as they’re going to be a threat. The 11-2 win is a plus already as it could come down to goal difference. And if we keep that up I can’t see anyone touching us."

After already claiming the National League South title, Parrish admits he isn’t a great fan of the play-off system.

"We would much rather have the top Southern league side play the top North side and get it over and done with," he said. "We’ve already won the league so it’s a bit pointless really."

The winners of the Southern play-offs will face the winner of the Northern championship, which could see Mos up against Sheffield for the second time running.

Face-off on Sunday is at 5.15pm.
