Pennock back in action in three months?

GILLINGHAM'S physiotherapist Ken Steggles has predicted that Adrian Pennock could be back playing in three months following a 10th operation on his left knee after sustaining a serious injury at Birmingham on October 23.

"He's been given the green light to start rehabilitation work and though the knee is not the best in the world I think we're looking for him to make a comeback in three months," said Steggles.

A report that defender Roland Edge has suffered stress fractures in both legs has proved unfounded and the defender has resumed training along with midfielder Ty Gooden.

Player-manager Andy Hessenthaler, Guy Butters, Robert Taylor and Kevin James all played 90 minutes for the reserves in a 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers. Paul Shaw scored twice in the opening three minutes before Rangers hit back to equalise.
