Play-off group wide open

INVICTA Dynamos pulled off an impressive 4-2 win over the Streatham Redskins on Sunday to keep their season alive for another week.

The victory leaves Invicta level on points with Peterborough and Streatham at the top of ENIHL Play-off South with two games to play.

The game at the Streatham Arena remained tight until the last five minutes, with both teams trading goals in the first and second periods.

An Andy Smith equaliser levelled the scores at the end of the first before a Joe Allen marker gave Invicta their first lead at 21.30.

The Redskins tied the game at 2-2 two minutes later but Ian Rowlands, restored to the Dynamos goal, refused to concede again.

Man-of-the-match Anthony Leone, fed by Grant Baxter, gave Dynamos a 3-2 advantage going into the third period and Leone again, with help from Damien Welch, dispatched the away side’s fourth to seal the two points.
