KENT'S championship match in Manchester finally resumed after almost two days of inactivity with Kent taking up their first innings at 15 without loss on the third morning of a rain-ruined game.
Visiting openers Rob Key and David Fulton both took bouandaries in the opening thrusts, Key clipping a Peter Martin half-volley to backward square while Fulton steered a Glen Chapple leg-cutter to the third man ropes.
After 10 overs Kent had reached 29 without loss, but under gloomy skies and a forecast for more rain the prospects for further action remain bleak.
