Gillingham could have missed out on making a deadline day signing - after potential target Lloyd Owusu stayed in League 1.

Owusu fitted the bill as Gills manager Mark Stimson dropped hints over his desired signing in recent weeks.

He came on in Yeovil's first three games and scored two weekends ago - exactly the clues that Stimson revealed.

But Owusu has moved from Yeovil to Cheltenham just hours before the transfer window closed, dashing any possible hopes Gillingham had of signing him.
