THREE goals in the closing 23 mintues ended Margate's brave resistance away to the Nationwide Conference leaders on Saturday.

Keeper Phil Smith pulled off a string of fine saves to keep Chris Kinnear's men in the game until finally being beaten by Ben Davies from 15 yards.

Daryl Clare doubled the home lead on 82 minutes with an effort which deflected in off Gate captain Graham Porter and in the final minute Darryn Stamp made it three.
