Quinn not interested in Gills job

CAMBRIDGE United manager Jimmy Quinn insists the vacant Gillingham position doesn’t interest him.

Quinn was linked to the Gillingham post several weeks ago but more speculation this week, this time involving Port Vale, led the Cambridge boss to speak out.

“I’ve told the chairman I’ve got no intentions of going to Port Vale or anywhere else,” he said.

“Our chairman had a phone call from Gillingham and he turned that down and said they’re not interested.

“I could have pursued that but I didn’t because I don’t want to go to Gillingham.”
