Racing starlet lands top Italian drive

ADRIAN QUAIFE-HOBBS will drive for top Italian team BVM Minardi in next season's Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 Championship.

The 16-year-old from Pembury will also contest the Formula Renault Italian championship.

Quaife-Hobbs raced in the latter stages of the Eurocup championship last season and achieved a podium at Spa, Belgium.

He now has his eyes set on a successful 2008.

The teenager said: "After testing with several other Renault teams we decided to return to BVM who gave me a chance in Eurocup.

"I feel very confident with the team and I'm looking forward to the start of the season."
