Kent's chances of taking on Twenty20 Cup southern group leaders Middlesex were looking increasingly gloomy at Beckenham tonight where rain delayed the start.
Though the skippers tossed up at 5pm, there was little chance of a prompt start once the showers arrived 15 minutes later.
