Rams face waiting game

Ramsgate could have to wait up to six weeks to know whether their appeal to the FA against a Ryman League charge of exceeding the maximum amount of short-term loan players, will be successful.

The club have a four-point deduction hanging over them if it fails, but they may have to be patient.

Boss Jim Ward admitted: “It could be three weeks or may be six, it’s up to FA now, we will just have to wait and see.”

Ramsgate travel to Canvey Island on Saturday.

The re-arranged Isthmian League Cup fourth round tie at Tilbury is next Tuesday. The winners face Staines in the quarter-finals.
