GILLINGHAM player-manager Andy Hessenthaler may decide to recall right-back Nyron Nosworthy, now free from suspension, for Saturday's match at Walsall.
But the early signs are that he will give a vote of confidence to the side held 1-1 at home by struggling Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday with Mark Saunders retaining the right-back spot and Roland Edge staying on the left.
Marlon King and Tommy Johnson look set to continue their partnership up front.
With Hessenthaler suspended for the Stoke match, the likelihood is that Nosworthy will be recalled on Saturday week with Saunders returning to his natural midfield role.
Gillingham also has concerns over skipper Paul Smith and Saunders who have both missed training with colds this week.
