REFEREE Paul Rejer has admitted he was wrong to deny Gillingham a penalty in Saturday’s game against Walsall.

First team coach Richard Hill has told the club's official website that he had called the Tipton official after he had looked at a video of the game and Rejer admitted he'd made a mistake when Marlon King was hauled down in the box by Danny Hay.

Meanwhile, Gillingham are sweating on the fitness of two players ahead of Saturday's crunch game against Stoke.

David Perpetuini, who hobbled off after twisting his ankle against Walsall, remains a doubt but Rod Wallace could play a part if he comes through a reserve team game against Brentford and suffers no reaction to a long-standing groin injury.
