ANDY REID'S equaliser earned Charlton a point in Les Reed's first home match in charge against Everton on Saturday.

The visitors took the lead when Mikel Arteta's 52nd-minute free-kick was deflected into his own net by defender Hermann Hreidarsson.

But Reid levelled matters 16 minutes later when he was on hand to drill home from just outside the penalty area.

The Addicks remain bottom on goal difference but moved level on points with Watford.
