FORMER Charlton central defender Chris Perry has joined West Bromwich Albion on a two-year deal after rejecting the advances of Midlands rivals Birmingham City.

Perry, 33, spent three years at The Valley, making over 80 appearances after joining from Tottenham for £100,000 in September, 2003.

He was released by Charlton on a free transfer at the end of last season.
