Gillingham boss Mark Stimson is set to offer first-team coach Mark Robson a contract on Thursday.
Robson has been working on a non-contract basis since joining the Gills as finances are tight.
But the cash windfall from reaching the FA Cup third round means the Gills can now try to tie Robson down.
Stimson said: “My first port of call is to get Mark tied up on a contract.
I’ve spoken to the chairman and he’s given me the green light to go ahead.
“He’d love to stay so now it is all about sitting down and thrashing out a contract. He’ll be offered a deal which will last the rest of this year, plus two more.”
