CHARLTON manager Iain Dowie hailed his side's battling draw after a 19-match winless away run as a possible turning point.
But Dowie nonetheless conceded that his team were second best for long periods in this match.
He was full of praise for goalkeeper Scott Carson and thought he was one of the chief reasons why the visitors came away with a point.
Dowie wasn't too impressed with Charlton's performance during the first 45 minutes but he stressed: "We showed a lot of resilience in the last 35 or 40 minutes and created a couple of chances for Bryan Hughes and Darren Bent on the break."
He added: "We didn't do enough to win the game but I am hoping this coud be a turning point for us."
