Ryman League Division 1 round-up

RAMSGATE moved up to third in Ryman League Division 1 with an impressive 5-1 win at home against Whyteleafe on Saturday.

A Steffan Ball strike sent the sides into half-time at 1-1, but Jim Ward's side took control of the second period and banged in four goals without reply.

Tow goals from Warren Schulz, and strikes from Shane Suter and Michael Yianni did the damage.

And the top of the table is Kent-dominated with Dover Athletic, Tonbridge Angels and Cray Wanderers joining Ramsgate in the top four.

Clive Walker's Dover side are up to fourth after a 2-0 win at Bashley.

Dave Skelton gave Whites the lead when he scored from the rebound after Craig Cloke's penalty had been saved.

Walid Matata made sure of the victory in the last minute with a breakaway goal as the home side searched for an equaliser.

Cray still top the pile after a narrow 1-0 win at home against Walton Casuals.

Tony Dolby's Tonbridge side are now second after a fine 3-1 away win at Dulwich Hamlet.

However, it's not such good news for Ashford Town who lie second bottom and pointless after a controversial 1-0 defeat at Homelands against Newport IOW.
