Even a surprise 2-1 home defeat by Boreham Wood could not spoil the celebrations for Dover on Saturday.

Whites were presented with the Ryman League Premier Division shield after the game at Crabble.

Events on the pitch, however, meant that Andy Hessenthaler's men fell to their first home reverse of the campaign.

Goals from Sean Sonner and Mario Noto in either half proved enough despite Lassana Sidibe's header levelling the scores early in the second half.

Tonbridge booked their place in the play-offs with a 2-2 draw at in-form Tooting on Friday.

Jamie Cade and Paul Booth put the visitors 2-0 ahead only for Tooting to claim a point after goals in the last five minutes from Andrew Howell and a Dean McDonald penalty.

Dartford's hopes of joining them in the play-offs are over after they were held to a goalless draw at Wealdstone on Saturday while Maidstone lost 2-0 to Hendon, for whom Jamie Busby scored twice.

At the other end of the table, Margate lost 3-2 at fellow strugglers Heybridge. The result leaves the Gate five points adrift of safety with three games left to play - including Easter Monday's derby at home to Ramsgate.

It had been looking good for Margate when goals early in the second half from James Gregory and Ryan Peters put them 2-1 ahead.

However, Ben Codling levelled the scores with 10 minutes left and then he struck again deep into injury time to claim a vital winner for Heybridge, who had taken a 38th-minute lead through Steve Bourne.

Ramsgate's relegation was confirmed after a 2-0 home defeat by Harrow Borough, Gary Noel and Dewayane Clark scoring in either half.
