Maidstone United came from two goals down for the second weekend running to earn a 2-2 draw against Leiston in the Ryman League Premier Division.

David Head put the visitors in front at the Gallagher Stadium and the Suffolk side looked firmly in control when Gareth Heath scored from the penalty spot.

But on-loan midfielder Tom Phipp halved the deficit on his Stones debut and Charley Robertson scored in stoppage-time to salvage a point which keeps Jay Saunders' side top of the table.

There was a surprise 2-0 win for struggling Cray Wanderers away to promotion hopefuls Lowestoft Town. Danny Young opened the scoring and Tommy Whitnell made the points safe in the fourth minute of added time.

Margate were beaten by the same scoreline at Kingstonian. Ryan Moss and Aaron Goode netted to send the Ks second, behind Maidstone only on goal-difference but having played a game more.

George Purcell gave AFC Hornchurch the lead at Thamesmead Town, who levelled through Danny Phillips. However, former Gillingham striker Stefan Payne struck late to sink Mead 2-1.

The rain played havoc with the Division 1 South fixture programme, with the games involving Hythe Town, Ramsgate, Sittingbourne and Herne Bay all postponed.

But there was an entertaining Kent derby at Salters Lane, where Faversham Town were held to a 2-2 draw by Folkestone Invicta.

Frankie Chappell put the visitors in front but Faversham fought back to lead 2-1 courtesy of goals from Brendon Cass and Dave Botterill. However, Invicta grabbed a last-gasp equaliser through Nat Blanks.

Whitstable Town moved up to 18th, above Sittingbourne, with a 2-1 win at home to Worthing. Joe Kane and James Morrish scored the Oystermen's goals.

In Division 1 North, Chatham Town drew 0-0 with AFC Sudbury but the weather beat Erith & Belvedere and league leaders VCD Athletic.
