KENT opener Robert Key was out for just a single today after being drafted into the England side for the second Test at the Adelaide Oval.
Key had been at the crease for 40 minutes when he drove Shane Warne but hit the calf of Ricky Ponting, who was able to react and take the catch at silly mid-off.
Key had said before the match that if he secured a place in the side he would look forward to facing the Aussie bowler.
England ended the day on 295 for four with Michael Vaughan scoring 177 - his fifth century in nine Tests. He was out off the final ball of the day but England were in a good position.
