DOVER ATHLETIC have the chance to bounce back after their draw against Burgess Hill Town when they take on Kent rivals Bromley in a rearranged Westview Cup fourth round tie.
Whites secretary Frank Clarke has succeeded in bringing the game forward from Tuesday, December 13, and it will give manager Clive Walker the chance to sort a few things out defensively before Tuesday’s league visit to Cray.
Danny Chapman is just the sort of uncompromising figure that Whites will need at Cray, and so Walker will be hoping to give him at least a sniff of the action against Ryman League Premier Division Bromley following his recovery from a knee injury.
Bromley boss George Wakeling insists his side will treat the tie with respect as he looks to bring success to Hayes Lane and expects to field his strongest available side.
He said: "We are out of the FA Cup and the Trophy and this is a competition we want to stay in. Dover are a big club and always have been. We won’t go there fearing them, but we will respect them."
Bromley have been boosted by the news Allan McLeod has a bruised shoulder when it was feared the captain had suffered a broken collarbone, though he is unlikely to face Dover. Des Boateng (hamstring) may be in contention.

Yiga was dismissed for a head-butt during the 1-0 win at Windsor & Eton at the weekend, just minutes after coming on as a substitute, and Standen was sent off against Dartford in the FA Trophy the previous week.
Ramsgate manager Jim Ward has set his side a target of a place in the top three of Ryman League Division 1 by Christmas ahead of the trip to Lymington & New Milton on Saturday.
The FA Cup and FA Trophy success means the Southwood club have games in hand on all the teams above them and face playing three matches a week to reduce the backlog.
Ward said: "I am aiming for two points a game, and would like to be in the top two or three again over the Festive and New Year programme.
"We played nine or 10 ties in the Cup and Trophy and have slipped to seventh in the table. I want to put that right quickly."
Defender Dean Hill could face another lengthy absence with medial ligament damage, Michael Cassar has a stomach problem while David Cory has suspected appendicitis.
However, 21-year-old Herne Bay midfielder Sam Denly joined this week, ending Ward’s six-month quest to sign him.
Ward said: "He’s young, fit and strong, and lives locally. He feels he has worked on his fitness and is raring to go."
Ashford Town travel to Leatherhead in the same division.
Southern League Division 1 East side Chatham Town manager Steve Binks will hope his players can mark his return from the flu by beating Barton Rovers at Maidstone Road.
Binks missed the 2-0 win at Enfield and the last few training sessions with illness, but he will return to the sidelines for the visit of Barton, a side that beat Chatham with a controversial penalty in September.
Binks said: "We were a little bit unfortunate to lose at their place and will be aiming for three points this time. We know we will lose our unbeaten home record at some time but hopefully it won’t be this Saturday."
Chatham will be missing Andy Larkin for the clash as he still has two games of his suspension to run, while Steve Searle (ankle) and Garry Tilley (leg) are both injured.
Brendan Cass should return after missing the Enfield game with an ankle injury, while Ross Finn is rated doubtful.
