GILLINGHAM chairman Paul Scally has been urged to spell out the reasons for his long-running feud with the Gills Independent Supporters' Club ahead of tonight's meeting with members.
The plea came from Mark Agate, secretary of the GISC and secretary of the National Federation of Football Supporters' Clubs, who called for clarity on all issues as a way of ending the stand-off between parent club and supporters' club.
Mr Scally is expected to pull no punches when he addresses supporters' club members exclusively at tonight's open forum at Priestfield.
Former supporters' club chairman Alan Liptrott remains banned from Priestfield having been excluded since the start of last season for refusing to sell Mr Scally his website domain name. GISC committee members have been told to stay away tonight.
“This is a first class opportunity for Paul Scally to tell us why he is so anti the Gills Independent Supporters' Club,” said Mr Agate. “I hope that come the end of the evening we are not left with more questions than answers.”
“I hope our members will have the courage to ask the relevant questions so we can get the answers everyone needs and wants.” Tonight's meeting starts at 8pm.
