GILLINGHAM chairman Paul Scally has sent a letter to the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, through the Football Licensing Authority, requesting a one-year dispensation over the building of the Town End Stand.
Under Nationwide League regulations, Priestfield must be an all-seated stadium for the start of next season.
Mr Scally is looking for an investor prepared to commit £1.5 million for the building of the stand. He, or she, would receive a guaranteed annual return with interest.
Mr Scally would consider schemes whereby 100 supporters pledged £5,000 each toward building the new stand and also the sale of five to 10 year season tickets to help raise the money.
