Whitstable boss Marc Seager doesn’t want his players to have any regrets after Thursday's Kent Senior Cup final against Welling United.
Seager has spoken of his pride at leading the Ryman League Division 1 South side out at Park View Road.
He said: “I’m so proud of my players. My message to them is don’t come in with any regrets and put on a performance.
“On paper Welling should beat us. But we have already beaten a full strength Blue Square South side in the competition.
“If they show any complacency or take the win for granted, then they could be punished in the same way as Bromley were.
“On our day we can beat anyone. We seem to raise ourselves for the big games and I want the players to do that one more time. It would be brilliant to get our name on the trophy.”
Welling will be full of confidence after a 5-0 thrashing of Blue Square South strugglers Fisher on Monday.
Manager Andy Ford will be forced into at least one change with on-loan Crystal Palace keeper David Wilkinson replacing the cup-tied Charlie Mitten.
Striker James Baker, who came on at Fisher after a hamstring injury, could be recalled while Sonny Cobbs will be hoping to make the bench as long as he suffered no reaction to an ankle problem while playing for the reserves on Tuesday.
