Second half show leads Holcs to victory

Holcombe men experienced mixed fortunes when they followed up a 3-1 win over City of Peterborough on Saturday with a 5-4 loss at Canterbury the next day in the EHL Conference East.

Yasser Khan put Holcombe ahead with a far post tap-in against Peterborough before they levelled by half-time. Ryan Ravenscroft and Dave Mathews scored to secure the win after the break.

Khan, Ravenscroft and Mathews were all on target against Canterbury – along with Simon Ramsden – but it was not enough to get something from the match.
