THE Kent County Football Association's Under-18 side have gone one better than Gillingham and earned the chance to play Liverpool.

Saturday's 2-1 success against Guernsey in the quarter-final of the FA County Youth Cup at Chatham's Maidstone Road ground earned the Kent kids a semi-final away to Liverpool on or before March 8.

Ashford's Shane Sims equalised for Kent with a 30th minute penalty after the Guernsey goalkeeper had been sent off. Nigel Pearce (Bromley) was Kent's hero in extra-time with a 96th minute winner.
