CANTERBURY Harriers will again be staging the Red Lion 10k at Hernhill, near Faversham, at 11am on Sunday, August 11.
The race, which last year had to turn away some runners as it was oversubscribed, covers a scenic course that finishes on the village green by the 14th century Red Lion pub.
Although the route is undulating, that did not stop international athletes Barry Royden and Andrea Green smashing the course records last year.
As well as prizes for the top athletes, including ones for all veteran categories and teams, all finishers will receive a commemorative T-shirt.
Entry fees are £6 for those attached to athletics clubs and £7 for those unattached. Entries on the day cost £8 for all and are not eligible for the main prizes.
Numbers are limited to 450 and the closing date is Monday August 5. Entry forms can be obtained from the Race Secretary, 45B The Street, Boughton, nr Faversham, ME13 9BA, or via the race’s website at: www.redlion10k.org.uk Information can also be obtained by phoning 01227 786210.
