MEDWAY'S trampolining star Gary Smith has failed in his bid to qualify for Great Britain's 2008 Beijing Olympics team squad.

Smith competed in the Trampolining World Championships in Quebec but failed to secure the required placing after finishing outside the top 30.

The Gillingham Jumper represented Great Britain at the 2004 Athens Olympics, finishing seventh in the individual men's event.
