MARGATE Football Club will be staging a Ladies’ Day on Sunday, April 18, at The Hoverspeed Stadium at Dover.

Complementary tickets for the match against Morecambe are to be offered to women’s and girls’ organisations in the area, to encourage female fans to attend.

There will be a pre-match skills demonstration by members of AFC Margate Ladies football team, who will also hold a half-time penalty shoot-out against one of the Margate men’s goalkeepers.

The day will support efforts by the Nationwide Conference to promote women’s involvement in football, and the Conference will award Margate a grant to help fund the activities.
