Ebbsfleet 2 Lewes 1

Giuseppe Sole's second half penalty earned Ebbsfleet maximum points against Lewes in the Blue Square Premier.

Fleet fell behind before Rashid Yussuff scored in first half stoppage time and Sole rounded off the comeback from the penalty spot.

The result took Fleet to 51 points, above the 50-point mark many people believe is needed to avoid relegation.

The game came to life late in the first half with two goals in the lead up to half-time.

Lewes won a corner in the 41st minute from which Michael Standing curled the ball in for Josh Jirbandey to score.

But Fleet hit back in the second minute of stoppage time. Yussuff's free-kick from inside the D went straight into the wall but rebounded to him and he drove the ball into the net.

The decisive goal came when Michael Gash played the ball through to Sole who was brought down by Lewes full-back Sam Fisk.

Sole picked himself up and converted the penalty past Lewes keeper Rikki Banks.
