Frontrunners Erith & Belvedere are seven points clear at the Southern Counties East Premier Division summit after they beat Rusthall on Saturday.
They earned a 2-0 success, Tyrell Richardson-Brown put them ahead and, despite Rusthall goalkeeper Tommy Taylor saving Bradley Ryan’s penalty, George Purcell sealed the home team’s win.
That came after second-placed Stansfeld had beaten Glebe 5-0 on Friday. Dan Parkinson netted twice while Billy Parkinson, Joe Borland and Ollie Milton were also on the scoresheet.
Two-goal Trevor McCreadie guided Tunbridge Wells to a 3-0 victory at Bearsted. Striker Matt Gething was on target, too, while a home player was sent off. There was a one-minute silence ahead of the match in memory of Bearsted secretary Roy Benton who recently died after a short illness.
Phoenix Sports were the day’s biggest winners as they beat Hollands & Blair 6-0 through strikes by Alfie Evans, Conor Johnson, Joe Denny, Andy Pugh, Francis Babalola and Tom O’Connor.
Canterbury City claimed a much-needed win, beating basement boys Fisher 3-1 at Woodstock in a bottom-of-the-table clash. Danny Keyte, Seb Rowland and Henry Arnold struck for City while Jacob Katonia was sent off for the away side.
Fourth-placed Deal came from a goal down to win 3-1 at Sutton Athletic. Tom Chapman was at the double and brother Ben Chapman got the other for Steve King’s Hoops.
George Harsin and Clyde Semazzi both netted after the restart for Holmesdale who earned a 2-0 home victory over K Sports.
Two-goal Steadman Callender led third-placed Erith Town to a 5-0 victory at Lordswood. James Trueman, Harry Taylor and Jamie Humphris got the others in a winning cause.
Whitstable tasted defeat for the first time under new boss Marcel Nimani, losing 2-1 to Punjab United. A late James Jeffrey strike wasn’t enough for the Oystermen - now sixth - after Lea Dawson and a Whitstable own goal had put the visitors in command at The Belmont.
Kennington claimed a 3-0 away success over Welling Town, who are third-bottom, through goals from Rajan Sahni, Joe Fisher and Tom Scorer. Fisher's penalty had been saved by the Welling keeper before he followed up to convert.
