CHATHAM Town moved up to second in Southern League Division 1 East after a 1-0 win against Kent rivals Dartford on Tuesday.
Chats' top scorer Brendon Cass scored a headed winner in the second half after the visitors had dominated the opening period.
It was Dartford's third 1-0 defeat in a week.
Meanwhile, Sittingbourne had to settle for two late goals turning a potential thrashing at the hands of Waltham Forest into a slightly more respectable 4-2 reverse.
The victory moved the home side above the Brickies, who now lie in 10th place, in the league table.
