Kent v Middlesex
Kent's final Friends Provident Trophy qualifier in Tunbridge Wells was abandoned without a ball being bowled after heavy rain left the leafy Nevill awash.
Match umpires John Holder and Barrie Dudleston made a cursory inspection at 10.45am and, with rivers of water flooding the outfield, called the game off and awarded one point apiece to Kent and Middlesex.
Disappointed at missing out on the chance to take on Middlesex and extend their winning run to six trophy ties, Kent's opening bat Joe Denly said: "We're on a real high in one-day cricket and we had our eyes on finishing top of the table, so yes it's a shame to miss out.
"Essex may get rained off as well and could still lose their last game, but it was disappointing to miss out here.
"We also wanted to avenge our defeat to Middlesex at Lord's. That was our first FPT away game and we didn't get off to a great start to be fair, so it would have been nice to get one back over them."
Although Kent have already qualified for the quarter-finals as one of the top two finishers in the South East Division, their final points tally of 11 can still be overhauled by Essex for the table leadership and the right to a home tie in the last eight on Wednesday, June 4.
The Eagles were scheduled for a Bank Holiday Monday clash against bottom side Sussex in Hastings and then travel to Lord's on Wednesday for their eighth and final qualifier against Middlesex.
Kent are next in action on Friday when they travel to play Hampshire in an LV Championship match at the Rose Bowl.
