Kent's Kent popular batsman Matt Walker is holding a Bangers & Mash and sports quiz evening at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury next week in aid of his 2008 benefit fund.
The left-hander is hosting a 'question of sport' style event in the Chiesman Pavilion on Thursday, April 17, soon after the close of play in day two of the county’s opening championship match with Nottinghamshire.
With Walker as the quiz master, a Kent team made up of David Fulton, Rob Key and Darren Stevens will take on a Nottinghamshire side that will include England spinner Graeme Swann and former Kent favourite Mark Ealham.
The fun starts at 7.30pm and admission, for a £25 donation, includes a free pint of Spitfire ale and a bangers and mash supper. For further details contact benefit organiser Sam Davis on 01227 770480 or by email at mattwalker2008@btinternet.com
