Andy Barcham has agreed to extend his loan from Tottenham for a further month.

The 24-year-old claimed his first goal of the season in the win over Chester on Saturday and now has even more time to impress.

Gills manager Mark Stimson said: “He showed great enthusiasm again on Saturday and a little bit of quality and he’ll only be a plus for us.”

Barcham has recently impressed while filling in up-front while regular front-man Simeon Jackson has been out nursing an ankle injury.

His new loan deal will expire on November 25, when Gillingham face Rochdale at home. The club could then extend the loan for a further month if the two parties agree a deal.
