GILLINGHAM manager Mark Stimson will be among the hopefuls trying to land Forest Green striker Stuart Fleetwood in January.

Stimson will face tough competition for the 21-year-old, who leads the Blue Square Premier scoring charts with 18 goals this season.

The Gills boss knows he needs to find someone before the end of the year to fill the gap when leading scorer Chris Dickson ends his loan spell and returns to Charlton.

Stimson said: "I know him because he's played in the level I've been at.

"He's scoring goals and at the moment he's scored so many that there will be some big, big teams after him."

Stimson already has seven strikers in his squad to choose from, with three more out on loan.
