Gillingham manager Mark Stimson believes his current squad have now got the right blend of desire and quality to lift themselves clear of danger.
Stimson has made 17 signings in his five month spell as manager and now he feels the balance is getting close to where he wants it.
“I’m very excited and quietly confident with the squad we’ve got,” he said. “The squad we’ve got now, with Kevin Maher coming back as well after missing Tuesday through illness, there’s quality there now.
“We ask for this desire and passion and most players can give that but we also ask for quality.”
