MARK STIMSON gave special praise to the vocal support Gillingham received before and during Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Huddersfield from a section of fans in the Rainham End.
The Gillingham manager said: “A special mention goes to the fans especially to those right at the top of the stand in the Rainham End.
“They were here last week outside the ground after the game and a few of those were watching us train on Sunday morning.
“The standing ovation they gave the players then was something I’ve not experienced and I’ve experienced some big things with crowds.
“I’ve been up at Newcastle and some of those supporters were amazing but the lot behind the goal in the Rainham End deserved that win and I’m sure the players would thank them for it.”
