GILLS manager Mark Stimson believes that anything is possible after recording his first win in league football.
Stimson's side came from a goal behind to beat Hartlepool 2-1 on Saturday thanks to a double strike from Dennis Oli.
“You’ve got to aim for the best,” said Stimson. “I say to the players aim to be man of the match in every game. So as a club we have to say aim for promotion, if we miss out, where do you finish? We’ll wait and see.
“Before the game I thought, there are 30 games left, and it’s a lot of points. How many can you take from 90? We’re going to try and take as many as we can. We started the best we could against Hartlepool with three.
“I’m not going to say we’re going to get this amount of points and be in this position. The boys will give it their all and they will give hundred per cent because that’s what I give.”
Gillingham ended the weekend in 19th but are just seven points from the play-off positions.
