WELLING goalkeeper Jamie Turner has agreed a one-year contract extension to stay at Park View Road until the end of next season.

The 26-year-old put pen to paper after his man-of-the-match display saw him keep a clean sheet in the home win over title favourites Weymouth.

Welling manager Adrian Pennock said: "We agreed the deal two or three weeks ago and it was just a case of signing it.

"Jamie is more than happy to stay at Welling, he is enjoying his football and had no hesitation in signing. He has been fantastic for us all season, no more so than against Weymouth when he had an excellent game.

"I knew about Jamie’s ability when I signed him and I still believe that he could make it into the Football League if he wanted to."

Turner joins Danny Kedwell, Jamie Day and John Guest who are already contracted to the club for next season.
