Ebbsfleet United 2 Woking 0
Youngster Kwesi Appiah scored with his first touch to set Ebbsfleet United on their way to a win over Woking at Stonebridge Road on Saturday.
Appiah, making only his second substitute appearance for the club, replaced Ricky Shakes in the 56th minute - and was on target within 60 seconds when he headed in past Lenny Pidgeley, once of Chelsea.
And just a minute later he was involved again, supplying the cross that Neil Barrett converted from close range to double the lead.
He almost grabbed a second goal with 16 minutes to play - but this time his header came back off the bar.
The first half was uneventful and Ebbsfleet seemed to miss Luke Moore, who was sidelined by a stomach bug. Stacy Long and Barrett both saw efforts go over the crossbar.
Ebbsfleet: Cronin, Ricketts, McCarthy, Charles, Opinel, Shakes (Appiah 56), Hand, Barrett (Stone 78), Long, Gash, Ibe (Slatter 70). Subs not used: Mott, Pooley. Attendance: 1,498.
