RAINHAM’S Howard School came out on top in the annual Medway Secondary Schools’ table tennis tournament held at the Stirling Centre in Rochester.
The boys were among 60 players from Rainham Mark Grammar, Hundred of Hoo, Chatham Grammar and Greenacre School, Walderslade, taking part.
The youngsters, aged from seven to 11, battled for the trophy at the event run by volunteers from Sturdee, Rainham 83 and Chatham Table Tennis Clubs.
The next table tennis event takes place on Saturday at Balfour School where the Pingpongathon for the national Sport Relief campaign takes place. On Wednesday, June 5, the Black Lion Centre in Gillingham will hold a similar event.
