Gillingham must make the trip to Northamptonshire next week for the first round FA Cup replay.

And Gills boss Peter Taylor believes a little extra knowledge may go a long way.

Taylor saw the Gills narrowly avoid cup humiliation at the hands of a club plying their trade three divisions below them in Skrill North.

Taylor said: “We know a little bit more about them now and the players know a little bit more about them.

“The players will look forward to (the replay) and sometimes when you play away from home it is a little bit easier.

“It is another good game and we will both be missing some players.

“We looked at them twice (before Saturday), the scouts did an excellent report on them and in some ways they didn’t take us by surprise but on the day they played better than us. Hopefully next time they see us we play better than them."
