FORMER Gillingham manager Peter Taylor will be the guest speaker at Andy Hessenthaler’s testimonial dinner on March 25.

A host of past and present Gillingham players are due to attend the event which will form part of Hessenthaler’s testimonial celebrations.

A three-course meal will be served in Priestfield’s Great Hall banquet suite, with local comedian Dave Lee taking to the stage, together with a band, a raffle and auction.

Guests will have the chance to meet many of their heroes with tickets priced at £55 each or £500 for a table of 10.

Details of the Golf Day on April 5 have also been announced with Upchurch Golf Club hosting the prestigious tournament.

Teams of three are invited to take part, with a fourth member being picked from a host of footballers, to compete in the 18-hole event.

A three-course meal is included, as well as snacks, prizes, auction and raffle with each team paying £400 for the privilege.

Details of the testimonial football match are yet to be confirmed with a date still to be arranged with preferred opponents West Ham.
