CHART Hills Golf Club are hosting a charity golf day to raise money for the victims of the Asian tsunami disaster.
The club, near Biddenden, has donated the use of its Nick Faldo-designed championship course for the event on February 10, and businesses are being encouraged to organise teams of four.
Anthony Mann, a Sittingbourne-based recruitment management consultancy, is calling on firms in the county to donate a day of their time and head for the golf course for a fun day of fund-raising.
Organiser John Chapman, from Anthony Mann, said: "Chart Hills is an excellent course, and I am appealing to all companies to enter a team and help us raise as much money as possible.
"Companies that don't play golf can also get involved by donating a prize for auction on the day."
Locate in Kent (LiK), the county's inward investment agency, is helping to promote the event.
Paul Wookey, LiK chief executive, added: "Already the response is encouraging and we are confident that we can raise thousands of pounds for the appeal, but there is still space for more teams and I hope the Kent business community will give us its full support."
Teams can sign up by contacting Angela Witcher at Locate in Kent on 01732 520724 or John Chapman on 01795 478653.
