Whitstable youngsters had an excellent day in the individual and team events at the South of England Junior Open at Dunstable. They won more than 30 trophies, set three tournament records, 12 personal bests, and were named team-of-the-tournament for conduct, spirit and achievement.

Toni Brazier won the Junior Girls All Events Handicap Record with 2085, beating the previous mark by 63. Hannah Frost won the Meg Jordache Memorial Trophy for Outstanding Achievement, after breaking both the Scratch and Handicap Intermediate Girls All Events Records, the latter also by 63, with a score of 2070. Her scratch score of 1827 beat the 10-year record by 79. Hannah also recorded a new high series personal best of 686, Toni 515, Heidi Grover (425) while Brazier and Harrad (192) and Lee Pyle (166) all set new high game scores.

Doubles personal bests were set by Chloe Simpson 88 and 115, and a new high series of 256. Other best high games scores were Jemma Purcell (336), Oliver Gale (347), Matthew Cullen (367) and Alice Wigston (479)

Whitstable Pintastics (Hannah Frost, Zoe Oldham, Lesley Waters, Katie Reeves and Chelsea Pyle) won the handicap section.
