STAN TERNENT is hoping to add to his Gillingham squad before the club plays their next match.

Following Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Leicester, the Gills have a two-week break ahead of their trip to play Watford on February 5.

Nyron Nosworthy returned from injury to play at Leicester but Gills are still missing a number of first team players, while Andrew Crofts and Alan Pouton both picked up slight knocks during the match.

So Ternent wants to bring in some new players to strengthen the squad for the dogfight ahead.

He said: "Hopefully, the two weeks off will allow us to get a few players back from injury but I also want to bring some players in. I need to get some reinforcements in.

"We've been trying hard to get people on loan and the time off gives us a better chance to do that."
