Burnley 2 Charlton 1
All the adulation Charlton experienced with Tuesday's defeat of Crystal Palace dissolved in deep disappointment and rancour with Saturday's last gasp defeat at Burnley.
Substitute Steven Thompson broke all Addicks hearts with a goal in the fifth of the six minutes added for stoppages just as the visitors looked to be within touching distance of a hard-earned point.

Manager Phil Parkinson was furious with referee Richard Beeby's time keeping and fumed: "I don't know where he found all that time. It was a joke. I could have understood had he added four, but not six.
"This has been an almighty kick in the teeth for us because we showed so much resilience and character with a make-shift defence after losing both central defenders, Jonathan Fortune and Mark Hudson, to injury."
Charlton had led with 14 minutes remaining after midfielder Nicky Bailey scored his sixth goal of the season in the 40th minute from a pass by transfer-listed Chris Dickson who started his first match for the club after 18 substitute appearances.
Burnley equalised in the 76th minute when Thompson turned the ball in from close range after Graham Alexander and Wade Elliott had prised open the Charlton defence.
A draw looked inevitable until Thompson turned in fellow substitute Kevin McDonald's cross.
"There were a lot of encouraging signs out there and I remain confident we can survive," said a defiant Parkinson.
