CHARLTON fans will pay the same price as their Preston counterparts when the sides meet at Deepdale on Saturday, following discussions between club officials on Tuesday night.
Preston were planning to nominate the game as a fixture for which they could charge cheaper admission for home fans.
Football League rules allow them to do this four times a season, but the decision was criticised by Addicks supporters.
It would have left Charlton fans paying two and a half times more than home supporters, but now everyone will be charged £10 adults and £5 over-60s and under-18s (with under-7s gaining entry free of charge).
Charlton chief executive Peter Varney said: "Our issue has always been with the league rule that permitted the situation our supporters faced on Saturday to arise.
"I would like to thank Preston, and in particular their chairman Derek Shaw and general manager Ben Rhodes, for taking this action in the interests of both sets of supporters."
